Entrepreneurs continue to challenge category norms, making retailers and brands rethink their strategies. Often it takes entrepreneurs to challenge the category norms. Larger brands are embracing change & innovation through acquisitions and partnerships. Multinationals such as Walmart have initiatives in place that help develop and scale their acquisitions into much larger businesses. At the same time, legacy retailers need to learn how to be more nimble. Their entrepreneur partners might be quicker in terms of decision-making, learning from failure, making smart hires, and leveraging and sharing data. In the end, everyone needs talent and technology that can drive change.
